DAS International engaging parents, empowering kids

The Finder spent quality time with the DAS team recently at the UWS Fair held on Saturday February 11 2012 at the UWC campus Dover. Just to bring you into the picture - DAS International provides professional support dedicated to individual learning. If you need specialist support for your child please contact DAS immediately and have an open discussion. The team of dedicated teachers and consultants are a dream to work with. The Finder regularly hears glowing reports from our readers about the DAS approach to educational support.

Consulting Educational Psychologist Dr Tim Bunn (pictured with members of the DAS team) has years of training and specialist knowhow in his field. His team of angels are committed to caring while being the largest provider of support services to students with learning differences in Singapore
(David Malligan with members of the school community at the UWC Beat the Drum Fair).
The UWC Community Fair was a great day. Attended by thousands of students - past and present, parents, friends, families and interested onlookers the fair has an exciting atmosphere about it- backed by cool vibes and current hits of the sound waves with seemed like the resident school DJ and certainly voiceover and radio Jock celebrity of tomorrow.
The day was abuzz with activities. The entire school community lent a hand and ensured everyone in attendance had a wow of a time. DAS contributed to the success of the day with their informative discussions with members of the community about the work they do in the area of specific learning differences, dyslexia and dyspraxia, attention deficit disorder and other areas of educational support such as numeracy, literacy, oracy & skill writing. The Finder really appreciated the time DAS spent with us and other members of the school community and wish to personally thank the DAS team for their dedicated services and on-going commitment to learning. Let 2012 be a year full of success and achievement at DAS International and UWS alike.

Profile

John Gordon is Managing Editor of The Finder and has lived in Singapore since 2008. Being an Aussie, there's no wonder John is a fan of the great outdoor. Swimming, tennis , the odd jog along East Coast keeps him fit for a full-on day of active duty. Having a interest in music since a young age, John studied classical and jazz piano as a lad in Melbourne back in the 70s and went on to try his hand as an 80s male model and piano bar singer. Thankfully... he found his feet and took on academic challenges in the 90s and attended The Victorian College of the Arts, Adelaide College of Performing Arts and Sydney Universitiy leading him to a career in Advertising and Publishing.

Travel, wine & dine, entertainment, both live music and theatre are all on John's TO DO list.  If you have a great find or something to share don't keep it to yourself!
